We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. 2 Corinthians 4:7

Stand

When the fists are pounding in your head,
and you can’t get out of bed.

It doesn’t matter if your feet don’t obey.

Stand up

When the world swirls all around,

and you can’t tell what is up or down.

When you’re drowning and you feel dead.

Stand up.

When you think you might have a little grasp,
and you’re just beginning to relax.

When the demons fight like hellhounds.

Stand up.

When everyone seems to agree,

and the end you just might start to see.

But then the ugly truth causes you to gasp.

Stand up.

When you think you’ve finally found your way,
and you hope the feelings will all stay.

But nothing remains permanently.

Stand up.

When trust is totally shattered,
and nothing else seems to matter.

Remember that was yesterday.

And Stand up.

When righteousness fails you,
and there is nothing else to do.

Remember the one who was battered.

Because of Him, Stand up.
Stand up for those on their faces; on their knees.
Stand up and feel their agonies.

Shoulder to shoulder, show them their value.
Together We Stand.
